I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be having another exhibit at The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite from February 25th to April 7th this year. Called “Elements,” this show will include a mixture of new work and some classic images. It’s been two years since my last exhibit at the Gallery, so it’s great to have another opportunity to display my work there. It’s always a privilege to show my photography in this unique and historic venue.

Also, I’m honored that one of my photographs, Half Dome and Oaks in Flooded Leidig Meadow, has been accepted into the annual Yosemite Renaissance juried exhibit. This year’s exhibit features work by many wonderful artists, including friends Penny Otwell, Charlotte Gibb, Michael Gordon, Kay Pitts, and Kerik Kouklis. And I want to give a special shout out to three of our workshop participants, Kathy Barnhart, Fran Mueller, and Tony Siciliano, who all have photographs included in the show. Congratulations to Kathy, Fran, and Tony!

I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be having another exhibit at The Ansel Adams Gallery from June 5th to July 31st this year. Called “Elements,” this show will include mostly new work, mixed with a few earlier images. It’s been several years since my last exhibit at the Gallery, so it’s great to have another opportunity to display my work there. It’s always an honor to show my photography in this unique and historic venue.

The Ansel Adams Gallery is located next to the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center in Yosemite Village. Summer hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., seven days a week. If you’re in Yosemite during June or July I hope you’ll stop by the Gallery and see the exhibit. Or maybe the show will give you another excuse to visit the park – as if you needed one!

Thank You!

I’ve been a bit preoccupied with photographing the Rim Fire, but I want to express my appreciation for the great response to my print sale through The Ansel Adams Gallery. Thank you all so much! It’s gratifying to see that so many people like the images we selected. If you bought one of the prints, I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

The sale ends at 6:00 p.m. Pacific time today, so there’s still time to take advantage of the discounts. I’ve included all the information about the images and the sale below.

Thanks again!

Special Ansel Adams Gallery Print Sale

Half Dome, Sunbeams, and the Merced River, Yosemite National Park, California

Half Dome, Sunbeams, and the Merced River, Yosemite National Park, California

The Ansel Adams Gallery is sponsoring a special print sale of two of my images at 25% off the normal price. The two images we selected for this offer are Half Dome, Sunbeams, and the Merced River, and Trees and Mist Beneath Bridalveil Fall. These are two recent photographs that have never been exhibited before.

My signed, limited-edition 16×20 prints usually sell for $325, but during this sale you can get one for only $244. Or you can purchase a 20×24 print, normally $475, for only $356. This is only the second time I’ve ever offered a discount on any of my prints, so this is a rare chance to purchase one of my photographs at a reduced price. The sale lasts for just six days, until Sunday, August 25th, at 6:00 p.m. Pacific time. Visit the Ansel Adams Gallery web site to purchase or get more details.

Here are the stories behind the images:

Jeff Grandy’s Unfiltered Series at The Ansel Adams Gallery

Unfiltered Object #4 by Jeff Grandy

Unfiltered Object #4 by Jeff Grandy

Planning to visit Yosemite in the next few weeks for the waterfalls and dogwood bloom? While you’re there, stop by The Ansel Adams Gallery and see the current exhibit by Jeff Grandy, featuring prints from his exquisite Unfiltered Series. The show will be on display until May 10th.

Jeff is a long-time friend, and I’ve always loved his classic landscape images, but this new work of his is quite different. He’s focused on the colors and textures of water, and created a series of abstract and imaginative images. You can see some samples on Jeff’s website.

There will be reception for the artist April 21st from 3:00-5:00 and I plan to attend. Hope to see you there!
