I recently did an interview with Grant Swinbourne for his Landscape Photography World podcast, and thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. Grant asked a lot of thought-provoking questions, and we ended up talking about all kinds of things – capturing a mood, planning, goals, what defines success, learning the craft of photography, my early photography education, experimentation, getting past creative roadblocks, self-imposed restrictions, sharing locations, photographing familiar places, what photography has taught me about nature, authenticity in photography, and much more.

Michael Frye is a professional photographer specializing in landscapes and nature. He lives near Yosemite National Park in California, but travels extensively to photograph natural landscapes in the American West and throughout the world.
