Clearing storm, dusk, Tunnel View, Yosemite
I’m pleased to announce that
The Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite will be presenting an exhibition of my photographs from January 6th to March 2nd, 2013. The show will be titled “Yosemite Meditations,” and will feature new work and some of my classic Yosemite images.
There will be a reception at the Gallery on Saturday, February 16th from noon to 2:00 p.m. — early enough for photographers to attend the reception and still have time to photograph Horsetail Fall afterward. I hope to see some of you there — mark the date on your calendar!

I wish I could be there! I own your little pocket book “Yosemite Meditations”. It was a gift I received on my first trip to Yosemite..It was a wonderful experience to see the photos and enjoy the real scenes!

Do you think “Trees, mist, and Bridalveil Falls” (from your last post) might be in the show? I find myself returning to the image, and wondering how it would look as a good sized print. I’m a bit of an unreconstructed traditionalist, in that I ultimately don’t find images on the screen satisfying. I guess I feel that good photography belongs on a well-lit wall.

I just purchased your iPad app, The Photographer’s Guide to Yosemite, now that I have an opportunity to FINALLY visit Yosemite next month! I’m busy pouring over your blog right now, but wanted to stop by and tell you how much your photographs inspires me. Being a native Californian, I truely can’t WAIT to apply what I’ve learned from you during my 3-day trip. I’ll certainly visit your exhibition at The Ansel Adams Gallery, too! Congratulations, Michael! I had hoped to be there to see you honored at the reception. Plans changed and now Anita and I will be there Feb 26-28. We’ll stop by the Ansel Adams Gallery to view your exhibition. Fond memories of our (Anita, Cheryl, Pat, me) workshop with you last Feb 2012. Hope to see you in the field and I do hope it’s white!
