

After I sent off the text and images to the publisher, some errors crept in. The most prominent is on page 43, where the diagram of "Zones and Histograms" shows more dynamic range than any digital camera can produce. Click here to view the correct diagram. Another mistake appears in the caption for pages 54-55, which should read, "This image of Half Dome, Cathedral Rocks, and Bridalveil Fall from Yosemite uses light, weather, contrast, tone, and repeating triangular shapes to convey a dramatic mood."
